Documenting Your Family’s Story

Ordinary moments are so worthy of being documented and celebrated. It’s the in-between moments of your own family – the snuggles, the kisses of a scratched knee, bath time, spontaneous dance parties, you name it  –  are some of the most meaningful images you will ever capture. This is your life and it is incredibly rich with your own family’s uniqueness. It’s also fleeting.

Embrace the messiness of new parenthood and come learn some basics from Kallyn including:

  • How to capture timeless moments using your own current equipment (phone or camera)

  • How to preserve those moments.

Kallyn runs a family photography business and is a postpartum doula with Emerald Doulas. She lives and frolics in Durham. In her 20-year career as a photojournalist, she was often in the midst of unpredictable situations where her job was to make the most powerful images from a situation. She brings to you her ability to flow with the situation and roll with the unexpected, hence family life.
